"Grass Roots Selling" Program

Fleetwood believes that any dealer should be afforded price protection if that dealer has created that job from the ground up. This program is extended to all dealers but has been developed for lower level dealers in particular to assist them to climb the dealer ladder. Top level dealers (Platinum, Gold and Transition) are already equipped with the tools to create market share and in fact are REQUIRED to do so to maintain that exceptional profit advantage over the rest of the dealers.  
When a dealer has expended the time and energy to work with the architect/builder from the conceptual drawing stage, and to involve the Region Manager from the beginning, that dealer will be protected when it comes time to bid the project. The following stipulations must be adhered to if the dealer expects to get that protection:  
Stipulations:
1.   Only offered in Fleetwood's Major Markets (those territories noted in the dealer search).
2.  Must be for an entire home of Fleetwood products (at least 80% of the glass square footage)
3.   Region Manager meets with architect and dealer during earliest stages and logs details on this form and keeps the file.  
  • At least two meetings take place while plans are being drawn. 
  • Dealer logs all visits and phone calls in the provided form and provides 1/4ly copies to the Region Manager to prove long-term relationship/efforts.
  • Region Manager attaches these logs with the file.  
4.   Bid through the dealer during the architectural drawing stage. 
  • Bid at normal dealer pricing.  
  • Bid glazed.  
  • Maximum dealer mark-up is 40%.  
  • Budget Program pricing will disqualify project
5.   Dealer must inform Region Manager, in writing, that project is going out to bid.  
  • The entire file is mailed to the sales manager to verify if the program terms were met.
  • A bid due date is required for proper protection. Notice given no earlier than 5 days prior and no later than 2 days before.
6.   If the program terms were strictly followed, Fleetwood will make every effort to contact competing dealers and inform them that the "Grass Roots" dealer will receive a lower price as compensation for their ground work labor.
