Gold Dealer Requirements (Emerging & Mature Markets)

A committee will review violations. Penalties range from a one-year level drop to loss of dealership. Dealer must comply with the previous level requirements during the probation period and existing quotes are not honored.
  1. The Company's principal business is reselling window & door products. We are obligated to conduct business in a commercial location suitable and accessible to prospective customers. We staff our office/showroom during normal business hours and conduct operations with modern business tools such as computers and internet access.

  2. Dealerships assigned a Region Manager understand they have authority to carry out factory mandates and to enforce stated policies.

  3. We will represent Fleetwood to the public in a professional manner, at all times displaying a working knowledge of the product line and promoting Fleetwood with brochures and approved methods. Fleetwood provides quoting software and we are responsible for creating our own quotes and orders. Dealers are discouraged from selling product to locations outside 100 driving miles (see #9).

  4. Active owners/managers and all active salespeople (promoting Fleetwood regularly) are required to attend an Elite Dealer Conference at least once every 24 months.

  5. We are restricted from offering products that Fleetwood deems as direct competition (list provided on request). We agree to notify Fleetwood anytime others are providing competing products for the same project. Dealers are precluded from revealing their dealer level to the public as it detracts from dealer merits and directs focus on pricing.

  6. We will maintain a minimum of $300,000 residential sales each year. Fleetwood requires all products be resold at MRP (minimum resale price) or higher, as calculated on each quote. We will not circumvent the MRP by discounting other associated costs (installation, non-Fleetwood products, sales tax, delivery...)

  7. We will maintain a minimum $50,000 open account.

  8. We will arrange all showroom displays as approved by Fleetwood and keep them current and in excellent condition at all times. If the dealership ends we will return them to the factory at our cost. If not received in reusable condition (descretion of the factory) we agree to pay the balance of the original discount. If additional showrooms are closed the remaining dealership will pay the balance of discounted displays.

  9. We agree to service all products purchased by our company regardless of the location. This may involve several trips to the project to diagnose potential issues and provide hands on assistance. We agree that a Fleetwood representative will determine this level of expected service. At minimum this requires a field diagnosis and performing minor repairs or adjustments. Projects sold outside 100 driving miles of the dealer's showroom are deemed outside the dealer's sales territory and will therefore forfeit factory field support. Projects quoted outside the United States must be re-quoted by the factory under the International Pricing Structure.

  10. We will provide customers a copy of pertinent documents (Care & Maintenance, Warranty, Installation....)

  11. Dealer will provide proof of Workers Compensation Insurance and a Certificate of General Liability Insurance with a duly authorized endorsement naming Fleetwood Aluminum Products, Inc. as an Additional Insured. If Fleetwood becomes a party to any suit, Dealer assumes the tort liability of Fleetwood. This agreement qualifies as an "insured contract" as defined in any policy of insurance.

  12. We understand it is the dealer's responsibility to provide manpower or machinery (e.g. forklift) to offload product. Received product must be inspected within 48 hours.

  13. Multiple Showrooms - Primary and secondary locations within the same market must meet all Gold Dealer Requirements. Starting with the third, additional locations are only required to meet 50% of the annual minimum. The level of all locations will move in unison either upward or downward. Existing dealers, that are part of a chain in which some stores do not qualify, (e.g. a lumber yard) cannot apply for Gold unless all stores cease offering competing products. Only the Authorized Dealer can process quotes and orders.

  14. Active dealers are to provide an updated dealership application every 24 months. We will not directly or indirectly initiate contact with any FLEETWOOD employee regarding potential employment.
