Field Test Procedure

If any field tests are to be performed they are to be conducted according to the following procedure. The requirements herein supercede all other documents, including plans and specifications.

Installation

1. The FLEETWOOD product must be installed according to the installation instructions and local building codes.

2. If the product is not installed plumb, square, straight and level the test cannot be performed until the product is properly installed.

3. FLEETWOOD must verify a plumb, straight, level and square installation before testing.

4. Field testing must be performed during the first 10% of installation or corrective costs will be exaggerated and therefore not  covered by the factory.

Testing Credentials & Instrument Verification

1. Before any testing is commenced, FLEETWOOD needs 14 working days to review the credentials of the testing agency/firm. The testing company must be approved by AAMA.

2. Before any tests are commenced, FLEETWOOD needs 14 working days to review the testing equipment certification. Copies of recent calibration reports and instrument specifications are required.

3. All AAMA labeled FLEETWOOD doors and windows will be manufactured in precisely the same manner as the approved AAMA test specimen. There is no other specific guarantee regarding weather performance of field test results. Any field-testing performed must be per AAMA 502 and performed "on newly installed fenestration product(s)" as required in paragraph one of Short Form Field Testing Specifications. Field test results will not be considered valid unless performed within four (4) weeks of specimen installation. Due to uncontrollable installation and test variables, expect only 75% of laboratory performance results in typical field installation conditions.

Factory Participation

1. The factory will witness the first day testing at no charge. If FLEETWOODs presence is required for additional tests the Authorized Dealer agrees to cover all expenses of such participation e.g. travel, lodging, on a T & M pay scale of $150.00 per hour.

2. FLEETWOOD needs a 14 working day advance notice of the test. The Authorized Dealer agrees to pay for expenses incurred as result of any less notice, e.g. excessive plane fares.

3. FLEETWOOD will not be financially responsible for any field testing, regardless of pass or failure.
